Did he just…???

The golden eyed prodigy coolly observed the muscle-bound hybrid calmly stand before the might of his Kidou and simply tilt his head oddly, like a child watching a new animal in awe and wonder. His taught body began to function much like a piston-powered device, and Yuusuke wondered what sorts of things were happening on the inside of the muscle-bound body.

He just negated my Kidou! That ****ing *******!

The experienced Captain had a strong feeling that once again, the Arrancar had gone to the trouble of choosing their opponents strategically. It seemed to happen all the time; they were never the ones who knew anything about their opponents, and he was really getting sick of it. He was beginning to wonder why they even bothered pretending to have an intelligence division since it all seemed to be utterly futile in the end. There’s got to be a way to stop these *******s from matching up in their order of preference. If this man can negate all Kidou, I’m in a serious degree of trouble.

Despite the sudden crater that had appeared in the ground, the gears within his mind were already churning at full speed. He knew very little about his opponent, save for the fact that their Reiatsu was apparently on par with each other. That lent to the question of if his opponent’s hierro may or may not be effective upon any strikes ushered in by Yuusuke. And, judging directly from the damage that he had caused to the ground, he apparently had an appreciable amount of physical strength. That leaves speed and the potency of his Hollow abilities. If that Kidou nullification skill is a Hollow ability, then his potency is probably very high which means that he may be slower than I am.

Any other thoughts were suddenly and acutely cut off by the thunderous sound of a massive crash…located just behind him. A sinking feeling worked its way into his gut, as the Shinigami Taichou started to mutter, “Not the headquarters, not the headquarters, not—OH FOR THE LOVE OF—!!”

Yes, it was as he had feared; something had dealt a very large amount of damage to his beloved building. He considered himself lucky, then, that whatever the meteorite had been, it had barely touched the beloved gardens just outside the building. “Oh thank you. Thank you!”

He wasn’t sure who, or what, he was thanking, but it was an instance to be thankful nonetheless. There was very little doubt in his mind that the damages dealt would be docked from his pay, and as far as he was concerned, the headquarters were much more easily repaired than the gardens would be.

It took a moment for him to realize it, but at some point in time, it hit him that the thing was not actually a thing so much as a person. It was a person who had fallen from the sky and punched a massive hole through his office and most likely had shut down an entire portion of his headquarters. “Well isn’t that just grand…”

He almost fell over from shock when the ivory-haired man, instead of apologizing or at least introducing himself, stood around and picked his nose. “Yeah, yeah, yo. Is there a reason why you’ve just crushed a portion of my building, or do you do those sort of things for fun?”

A small, almost impish, grin came over his face as he caught a glance of Fuego out of the corner of his eye, “No, no, I haven’t forgotten about you…Er…Who’re you again…Oh yeah, Mr. Numero Ciento Dos, “ and then swiveling his head again, Yuusuke glanced over at the stranger, “The name’s Yuusuke, by the way. Taiken Yuusuke.”

And with that, there was the use of shunpo to suddenly close the distance between the two. Twin weapons shinning in the daylight, the Captain did something that he hardly ever did; he brought his zanpakutou in for a slice, aiming one for its neck and another for its gut. Can’t do this without testing him out fully.

Kidouryoku was already brimming at the ready.

“Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~~~~!!” Numero Ciento Dos screamed out loud in absolute delight as he saw the captain steer towards him. Bringing the two diamond maces, that were his fists in front of them, he clenched them tightly as he positioned them a short distance away from his side. His muscles began to bulge tensing up as he brought his foot down onto the ground with the crushing magnitude of the titan causing his reiatsu spill out into the atmosphere wrapping his body in a skin-tight manner as he shut his eyes with a large grin across his lips.

Like the motion of a playground swing, his hips began to sway. As the captain approached, its pace increased exponentially—doubling and tripling, like that of a falling object before reaching a rapid thrust. His lips, spread wider than ever, opened as he screamed out into the variable atmosphere, still thrusting as a light gathered around his crotch.

“SEI!” A searing ball of energy shot out from his pelvis motion as he continued the rapid hip thrusting phenomena. “SEI!” Another shot followed the previous one as it geared itself on the same trajectory as that of the incoming captain. “ SEI!” The three shots spiraled forwards with blinking speed as his hip-thrusting maneuver slowed to a half before one more violent forward motion causing a slightly longer wider beam of energy to launch forward. “YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Incoming attacks. Energy blasts.

The Captain’s mind registered the incoming assaults with a quickness that only came from the experience of a hundred different fights. His body was already in motion, preventing traditional dodging methods from working, but there was little concern in his mind for that; Kidou users always managed to find a way out of a situation, allowing for well placed recoveries.

Alright…Gotta time this just right then…

His kidouryoku flooded into the tip of the twin zanpakutou, a small flame of azure energy pouring through the refined steel. Within the other blade, another portion of energy stirred, almost formless in nature, the very tip of the spirit weapon glistening a bright gold. The first blade swung in a mostly vertical arc, starting from slightly behind the seasoned warrior and dropping downwards until it was entirely pointed at the ground…where the fire exploded in full force, kicking up dust in it’s wake, following the spoken words, “Hadou no Sanjuusan, Soukatsui!”

As though being propelled by a rocket engine, Taiken’s body flew upward…but not before being nailed by the first energy blast, burning through the cloth of the right breast in a mere second. His skin was less susceptible to the corrosive force of the attack and lacked the complete incineration; still, there was a degree of visible damage to it, noted by the reddening of the skin and the occasional patch of soot. The Captain was not, however, without a counter…despite missing completely with both physical attacks.

Indeed, as his body continued its upward trajectory, his right arm was continuing its own momentum. The shot that had been aimed at the neck of the Arrancar cut through the air, though it’s course notably altered by a simple application of a slight downward force. The end result was a diagonal slash through midair along with a slight rotational force that caused his body to turn as he passed over the former Espada. His head turned to the right as well, an intentional act of his own done to allow for aiming of the spear-like energy. A second more, and the tip of the wakizashi was in position for a shot of the spear-like Kidou that could penetrate even the thickest defenses aimed at the upper-back. “Hadou no Sanjuuni, Heki!”

Yuusuke's blast of Soukatsui hurled earthward and erupted in a blinding explosion, quantities of power and flame worthy of a Captain's effort. Concealed within that swirling maelstrom distracted by the thunder but not yet wounded, Privaron Ciento Dos should have been perfectly positioned for the piercing spear to break through the protection of his Hierro. Certainly he should have been, but perhaps luck is on his side in this oddly matched battle. If it is, it's a twisted kind of luck.

The privaron's hulking body was thrown back from harm's way by the opening of a mouth-like rift in the clearing air, the heki sliding between its jagged jaws without a sound, disappearing. The very air seemed to writhe in desperation to escape that dark abscess, a seeping wound of demonic pressure from which began to ooze a mass of chattering and wailing creatures. These were hollows, but gripped in such a terror they bore no awareness of anything else, their wounded forms gripping and tearing at each other in a crawling procession.

Striding across the backs of those pathetic wraiths, a statuesque woman emerged from the dimness, letting the mouth close itself behind her. The black carpet rolled ahead of her to partly envelop the legs and torso of Fuego. Chains strung between the Espada's massive downward curved horns clattered as she progressed, leaning over her fellow arrancar with a brutal expression gleaming from her eyes, the only visible portion of her face.

"You..." the voice was incongruously demure and refined, "were not asked to take part in this mission. Perhaps you misunderstood the reason you were not called in for the meetings. I'm afraid you're quite an embarrassment to the rest of us, and showing up here to fire your crotch rockets at Gotei trash is hardly going to redeem you. Fuego, dear, you're a liability. If you can't learn to keep out of the way..." She trailed off, leaving the threat hanging.

Under the Espada's strict regulations, she didn't have the authority to eliminate the Privaron unless he directly resisted her, but she didn't mind prodding him into doing so. To Cadena, the outlandish Numero Ciento Dos was a blemish on an army she felt a great deal of personal responsibility for. A pimple just begging to be squeezed until it burst.

Turning her head slightly, causing the chains to rattle again, she briefly acknowledged the shinigami present. "Mmm. Pardon me for interrupting. This shouldn't take long, and then I can deal with you if you'd like. You'll find I can make your death a most cathartic and profound experience, it's well worth waiting for."

“Hooo~…”

The interchange of violence, killing intent, and raw, sweating manhood that had been waged throughout history on and on and never off, upon scales beyond epic and divinely comedic in every sense and unearthed implication of the word… made no register upon the mercenary’s interest. Thus, seeing as how the two warring combatants have managed to distance themselves from him, Greyson gently lowered himself into a hunched crouch, with his mighty white hair flowing and his wide mouth yawning like a German shepherd sleepily sprawled out upon a shaded hammock, in the midst of an autumn sunset with the fair breezes a-flo—

“Yaru ja nee naa…”

Without fear, the mercenary observed as both Arrancar and Shinigami exchanged assaults, even as tufts and shrouds of greenery and flora blew straight through him, torn straight from the garden all around them by the sheer turbulence of the duel. The blasts of energy, the pounding of thick air, the displays of acrobatics, the flashes of sharp steel, all reflected pristinely within Greyson’s eyes, and the chiseled face that bore the twin silver gazes grew ever more grave with each passing second. Thus, the amused grin shaped by his lips gradually lowered to a straight frown.

A rapid, though concise shake of the head overcame the mercenary.

“Iya. Tsumannee.”

Clearly, the fight was arriving nowhere pretty fast, but at the very least, Greyson gave himself a subconscious pat-on-the-back for having realized the styles and strategic groundings of both the Arrancar and the Shinigami Captain. As if to pass the time until something remotely interesting could transpire, he boorishly recounted the characteristics of both fighters.

…This “Tike” fellow… your average run-in-the-mill trigger finger with spells, coupled with some pretty amazing stick-swinging to boot. Well, not really, but at least he doesn’t stink as much as the guy in tights. Good lord, use some deodorant! You smell like a disused enema…!

However, by the end of his thoughts, as if Destiny itself had a hand in wanting to spank the Shinigami Captain good and hard, a sudden dimensional distortion materialized, out of nowhere and all but here, right in the midst of the Second Division Headquarters! How jokingly convenient, of all places! And in the same instant, the tight-leather Arrancar arbitrarily vanished—or rather, dragged away by an irate grip.

“Reinforcements…? Mattaku da…”

Smiling again to himself, and perhaps chuckling as well, the mercenary from the skies lifted himself up to his feet, dusted himself free of the floral debris from the abruptly ceased battle, and took a quick wipe across the underside of his nose. Sauntering over nonchalantly to the Captain of the Second, Greyson stopped by the Shinigami’s side and patronizingly patted the man’s left shoulder a few times, intentionally facing away from the mini-Garganta.

“‘Tike,’ is it? Well, good knowin’ ya for some or so moments, kid. Looks like it’ll two-on-one from now on, with you on the bottom. Heh heh…” Of course, there was nothing more assuring than a quick shrug from the mercenary, who negligibly glanced on over at the now-mending dimensional distortion before turning back to the God of Death. “But hey, seems like the other one’s a horny girl, if you get what I mean, eh? Eh?!” A swift elbow nudged the Captain’s side before the mercenary departed.

And it wasn’t long before the newly emerged female Arrancar made her own clichéd announcement, but when the droves of pure arrogance filled the stained air of the Second Division garden, Greyson was nowhere to be found to make any snide remark.

Yet, there was something about the morning air, something that hid behind all the sunrays and the palls of smoke, something. It fluttered across the warring courts lightly, like a shred of a torn letter diverging from its scattered brethren, a feather released by entreaty of the easterly breezes, a chirp of a chick amongst the roar of a stampede across the savannas.

It squeaked, it blipped, it beeped…

…and was no more.
