I do those too. I just like sitting down and doing stuff. It's also funny watching people struggle with 200 pounds, and then i do 400 while re-reading harry potter. ^_^. Several times in their face ^_^. I'm evil, yes. i know.

Lol 400, I just got 200. Although since I'm a sprinter, I don't need to really lift as much.

But don't sprinters (just like all practitioners of sports that require explosiveness) really benefit from strength work? You know, power requiring both a strength and a speed component. Sprinting being all about the posterior chain (hamstrings, glutes, erectors) you guys probably do a lot of deadlifting or something similar?

I like working out either way. I used to hit the gym for hours and hours back when I was well. I can only do light exercises now that I am sick, and not very often. It really sucks. No matter where, exercise was always a stress reducer <3 and just enjoyable. Maybe when I'm cured I'll get back to it~

EDIT: Not that having some muscle mass seems to be a problem for sprinters. Given the need for power in their sport they do get away with clearly visible amounts of added muscle. It is a matter of body structure though, the further away your body is from the ideal sprinter's body the more you need to compensate by adding raw power.

iLLmatic, I heard about this program. I am very skeptic about these kind of programs, and wonder if they truly do work like what the commercial tells us. I often believe that these perfectly fit people are just paid actors.
How is it working out for you?

Looks somewhat pointless.
Fat loss is mostly a function of diet and we all know what we need to eat in order to lose weight. Just eat healthy whole foods with lots of veggies, healthy fats and lean meat. If you don't start losing weight decrease the amount of food you consume a bit by bit. Whoa, long term fat loss success, no gimmicks required. Of course, doing high intensity cardio isn't exactly a bad idea, it'll help you stay healthy. Just don't do it for any other reason but to get better at high intensity cardio. This stuff doesn't build muscle, in fact fat loss pretty much goes against muscle building. Adding strength also requires a different approach, although beginners will get gains because, well, beginners get gains from anything. And no matter how thought out the workouts seem I can guarantee that you'd get the same effect by simply mixing up different bodyweight drills, doing them in circuits and adding intensity day after day. There's no magic involved. The main benefit of a product like this is that there's someone who has constructed these seemingly awesome workouts for you and if you get them done you can feel like a badass... which you'll probably be at that point given that the workouts look actually pretty intense. Just be aware that you're doing cardio for cardio's sake and that for all the other things (fat loss, strength training, muscle building etc.) there are better approaches. These are my thoughts but remember that I haven't gotten an in-depth look at the product. So if something seems off do educate me on the finer points of insanity.
