Default The way it works


Make sure you label your fight thr with what week/volume it is and who the fight is between in the collab and thread title.

Fights are over AIM, unless the people fighting can work out a different approach. Pretty straightforward, one person writes, say, a paragraph of what their character does, then the next person writes their character's action.

GREEN = Joe's player
RED = Jim's player

Joe walked into the forest and found a squirrel. He attacked the squirrel.

Jim found Joe attacking the poor defenseless creature and attacked Joe from behind.

Joe was knocked down by the blow. He crashed into a tree and was knocked unconscious.

Jim laughed victoriously before the squirrel ate his brain.
And then one of the players takes it and edits it so that there aren't any spelling or grammer mistakes, etc. Then the finished product is posted in this forum and graded at the end of the week.

If the winner cannot be decided from simple roleplaying (i.e., a player doesn't want to admit defeat, it's too close to call, etc.) then the moderator of the fight will decide. If there is no moderator, the two (or more) fighters will present the fight to a third party to review, and the third party will choose the winner based on quality of roleplay and intelligence in the fight.

What do you mean the fight will be via AIM? What is that? I'm kind of new at that and I want to make sure I don't mess up on anything and can we call out someone or does the moderator make up the fights.

It doesn't matter what you use to make the fight, but it is recommended to get aim just because theres were just about all the talking goes on (on a chat room mainly).

When your done with the fight you just edit tags in a post it as seen in the many example here.

Stats are not directly involved (no formulas and whatnot) but you should use your stats vs your opponents stats to determine how a fight will proceed. Example. Player 1 Has 5000 Hohou, player two has 1000 hohou. If one is going to be faster it is clearly player 1, and you and your opponent would make sure to factor in that Player 1 is faster if fighting. Player 1 has 750 Zanjutsu, player 2 has 800 Zanjutsu. In this case your skills would be evenly matched with player two having a slight edge.

What i'm trying to indicate is that stats don't say right away who will win or lose. The winner is the one who is the most creative in battle and can react to the opponent's attacks. Now creative means reasonable. IF your opponent is five times faster than you it would be unfair to roleplay yourself as being able to block them at every turn because it just wouldn't happen. You can block a few attacks but odds are they will probably leave your head spinning.
